Our Buddhist community is grounded in the Theravada / Insight Meditation tradition, while also drawing on Zen and Tibetan Buddhist teachings.
Our mission is to help us all awaken and free ourselves from suffering by being a resource to learn about meditation and Buddhism. We offer a welcoming, inclusive space for practice.
We encourage participation in our community, enabling us to build a caring sangha which supports our members as well as the larger community.
We Welcome You to Practice With Our Community!

“I know how to meditate.” I hear this frequently from people when I talk about teaching meditation, and they are usually referring to basic meditation instructions they received. For some people, simple instructions like “follow the breath” work for them to create a quiet space in a busy life.
But for many people, those instructions don’t work well. They lead to the belief “I can’t do this” when the thoughts and emotions become stronger than mindfulness of the breath.
Fortunately, the Buddha provided detailed instructions on the practice of meditation, with many options available.
We will explore the Buddha’s teachings on how to meditate, including the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. If we really want to free ourselves from suffering, it is useful to have a number of practices to choose from at any giving time.
Let’s practice various techniques together to deepen our practices.
Suggested donation for meditation is $20 – $5. No registration is needed.
Please donate an amount which feels generous and good for you! If you are able to donate more, this allows others with less means to attend.
Everyone is welcome.
I have recently been on retreat with Lama John Makransky as well as Yanai Postelnik. I am very grateful for their instruction and support.
Thursdays Feb 19 – Mar 26

Are you feeling disturbed by what you see and hear in the news? Or when experiencing the challenges of life? This is normal, and we have the capacity to learn how to hold these circumstances with an open heart. We will explore working with aversive mind states, such as anger or anxiety. We will learn and practice mind states such as compassion and empathetic joy. We will draw on the Tibetan Buddhist tradition as well as insight meditation.
This class series will be practice oriented. We will practice finding ways to feel deeply connected and at home in the world, even in the midst of challenges.
The classes will be taught by Kim Weeber. You can take the entire series or drop in as you wish.
Suggested donation for class series is $90 – 120. You may register for the series or for one class at a time.
Please donate according to your means. If you are able to donate more, this allows others with less means to attend.
Everyone is welcome.
